Five key points to consider when using hydraulic press accumulators.
① Inert gas (usually N2) should be used in the air accumulator, and the allowable working pressure depends on the structure of the accumulator.
②Accumulators should generally be installed vertically with the oil inlet facing downwards.
③ Accumulators installed on pipelines should be fixed with support plates or fixed brackets as much as possible.
④ The accumulator used for digesting the destructive and pressure-pulsating beverages produced by the hydraulic press should be installed as close as possible to the vibration source.
⑤ A shut-off valve should be installed between the accumulator and the pipeline for use during refueling, air injection, and maintenance; this product should also be installed between the accumulator and the hydraulic cylinder to prevent backflow of pressurized oil in the accumulator when the hydraulic cylinder stops.

The function of an accumulator is to store pressurized oil in a hydraulic transmission system and release it again when necessary. Its important role is manifested in several aspects, including acting as an auxiliary power supply circuit.
Some hydraulic transmission systems have intermittent actuators with short total operating times. Others, while not intermittent, exhibit significant speed variations within a single work cycle (or schedule). In such systems, accumulators allow for the use of smaller pumps, reducing the power of the main drive and resulting in smaller, lighter, and cheaper hydraulic transmissions. For emergency power systems, some systems require the actuators to resume operation when the pump malfunctions or the power supply is cut off (sudden interruption of oil flow to the actuators). For example, for safety, the hydraulic system's hydraulic pressure should be minimized to the master cylinder. In such cases, an accumulator of appropriate capacity is essential for emergency power. This includes filling leaks and maintaining a constant flow source .
For systems that require long-term non-positioning of electronic components and need to maintain stable pressure, accumulators can be used to compensate for leaks, thereby stabilizing the pressure.
