Nitrogen blowing and borax spraying anti-oxidation device

Nitrogen blowing and borax spraying anti-oxidation device

The Hailem technical expert team works closely with steel pipe manufacturers, delivering not only customized graphite lubrication systems for steel pipe mandrels, but also a nitrogen blowing and borax spraying anti-oxidation device for the rolling process, which plays a crucial role. Under nitrogen pressure, molten borax is evenly blown onto the hot inner surface of the capillary tube, forming a protective layer to prevent tube wall oxidation. It also removes oxide scale, lubricates the surface, and provides insulation. The strong competitive advantage gained from reduced storage and protection costs and the delivery of high-quality products makes it possible for users to generate more profits and gain a larger market share.

The Hailem nitrogen blowing and borax spraying anti-oxidation device is an important piece of equipment in the construction and renovation of seamless steel pipe continuous rolling mills. Its stability, reliability, and ability to provide users with greater value-added services are always the goals that the Hailem technical expert team constantly pursues.

       I. Introduction to the Steel Pipe Nitrogen Blowing and Borax Spraying Antioxidant Device

The Haileme nitrogen blowing and borax spraying anti-oxidation device, through precise system control, uses nitrogen to drive borax to blow and sweep the inner surface of the tube, forming a protective film to prevent oxidation. It is of great significance for improving the surface quality of the tube, slowing down corrosion during storage and transportation, and increasing the added value of the finished product. It is an important process in the seamless tube production rolling process and has become an indispensable piece of equipment in the steel pipe manufacturing process.

The Haileme nitrogen blowing and borax spraying anti-oxidation device is highly automated, reliable, and easy to maintain, and is suitable for seamless tube hot rolling lines under various working conditions.

II. Structural Functions of the Steel Pipe Nitrogen Blowing and Borax Spraying Antioxidant Device

The Haileme nitrogen blowing and borax spraying anti-oxidation device mainly consists of five units: the main body of the equipment, the nozzle device, the nitrogen storage tank, the electrical control cabinet, and the industrial control computer.

The main frame platform of the equipment is equipped with a borax storage tank, below which are arranged a feeding chamber, a working tank, and an air-sand mixing valve, all designed with backup to enable automatic switching and ensure continuous operation. The system is equipped with sensors for material level, pressure, temperature, and position, enabling automatic control, display, and alarm functions.

The storage tank is designed with a high-strength filter to prevent impurities from entering, and the moisture-proof cover is easy to operate. When the borax level drops to the designated position, the level sensor sends an alarm signal. The storage tank is equipped with a discharge baffle and a heavy-duty impact vibration system to ensure normal discharge or prevent material caking. The dust collection device on top of the storage tank can be directly connected to the rolling mill dust removal system pipeline to eliminate dust pollution during feeding.

The specially designed feeding chamber is one of the core pieces of equipment. It utilizes a highly reliable servo motor-controlled screw feeder, electronic weighing system, pneumatic unloading device, and pneumatic feeding cone valve to achieve quantitative feeding. Pneumatic components such as the valve island outside the quantitative feeding chamber directly control the movement of each cylinder. During operation, the servo motor drives the screw feeder to deliver borax from the storage tank into the weighing pan. The weighing sensor signal under the pan is transmitted to the PLC's weighing module. The CPU processes this signal and sends a control signal to the servo module to control the screw feeder, thus achieving precise quantitative feeding.

The working tank also functions as a pressurized container, connected to both the metering feed chamber and the air-sand mixing valve. During spraying, the borax is evenly dispersed within the air-sand mixing valve under pressurized nitrogen through the coordinated operation of the cone valve and the nitrogen supply system. It then mixes again with the metered nitrogen before reaching the nozzle outlet, ultimately spraying the borax into the rotating capillary tube. The specially designed nozzle is mounted on a retractable mechanism; it extends to spray after the capillary tube is in position and retracts afterward.

The nitrogen control unit controls the nitrogen used as a transport medium for borax. The nitrogen storage tank is equipped with a heating device, temperature and pressure sensors, and a PLC processes the received temperature and pressure signals to achieve automatic temperature control and other pressure alarms.

The operating mechanism of the equipment is powered by compressed air and is operated by pneumatic components such as cylinders and pneumatic control valves.

The electrical control unit is the core of the device, primarily using a PLC to sample and process all signals, controlling the coordinated operation of the equipment. The equipment can operate in five modes: manual A-tank debugging, manual B-tank debugging, A-tank automatic operation alone, B-tank automatic operation alone, and alternating automatic operation of both tanks. Switching between operating modes is done on the industrial control computer, or via the device's touchscreen.
