Energy accumulator selection calculation
Accumulator selection should be strictly based on the relevant temperature, pressure, and volume parameters. The underlying theory of the ideal gas law and the revision of the relevant coefficients should be thoroughly understood. Otherwise, incorrect selection may be made, leading to various malfunctions in practical applications.
The figure below illustrates the fundamental theory of accumulator selection calculations – the ideal gas law. The figure on the right shows the preliminary calculations performed by Highlem software to simulate application conditions for selection.
