When the liquid is affected by temperature rises and falls, accumulators can be used to stabilize pressure changes in the hydraulic system and can distribute pressurized fluids such as grease and lubricating oil.
Domestically produced products may not perform as well in terms of performance, typically only reaching 21 MPa or 31.5 MPa. However, conventional piston accumulators can reach 138 MPa, and unconventional piston accumulators can achieve even higher pressures. High-temperature resistant types offer more stable performance; Butor high-temperature resistant piston accumulators can withstand temperatures up to 230 degrees Celsius and can withstand a wider range of pressure fluctuations, making them suitable for series-connected gas cylinders or cylinder groups. Their service life is generally longer than that of bladder-type accumulators; replacing the piston seal is less costly and simpler than replacing the bladder. They are easy to install, have a simple structure, are easy to maintain, and are convenient to fill. Unlike the sudden failure of bladder-type accumulators, piston-type accumulators generally have multiple seals, so even if they fail, the failure is gradual and slow.
Depending on the user's needs in different scenarios, it can be made larger. The volume of conventional products can be increased to 760 liters, and unconventional accumulators can be even larger. Under low pressure, the piston is not suitable for high-frequency reciprocating motion due to its large inertia. Therefore, piston accumulators are not suitable for absorbing pulsations and high-frequency vibrations under low pressure. The machining precision and sealing of the inner wall of the outer casing are very high; otherwise, leakage is easy. The quality varies greatly between different brands.
